LinkedIn’s Terms of Service discourage data scraping; however, it’s not illegal if you are scraping publicly available information. A notable legal case in 2019 between LinkedIn and hiQ Labs set a precedent that scraping public user data does not inherently violate LinkedIn’s ToS or infringe on user privacy.
