In the field of HR, the rule is simple: either you get to the top candidates quickly, or you watch them go.
That’s one of the things that make the field of HR a dog-eat-dog kind of world: either you get to them very quickly, or you have to settle for less suitable ones. And if you simply can’t find a suitable candidate, well — the cost to the business could be as high as $7,000–$12,000 per day (and even higher if we’re talking top leadership positions).
Why am I telling you all this? Not to scare you to death — just to help you understand how important it is to be able to reach top candidates the very second you find them. But they aren’t top candidates for nothing, nor will you be the first to “discover” them. They’ll likely be getting new messages and offers on LinkedIn on a daily basis.
So what can you do to get ahead of the pack? The answer is as quick as it is easy: you find top candidates’ email addresses and contact them where not many other HR professionals will!
In this article, I’ll show you how to do this in just three easy steps with ZeroIn and get their emails with 98% accuracy. Just keep in mind that what I’m talking about today can be done with a free LinkedIn profile, but if you have a Recruiter profile, you’ll be able to do this all with even more precision!
Step 1: Find Your Candidates on LinkedIn
The first thing you’ll want to do is go to the LinkedIn search bar and select the People option. Next, you’ll choose All Filters and use those that can best help you filter top candidates from all the others.
Say you’re looking for a social media manager for a US-based cosmetics company. You will want to focus on location (United States), profile language (English), and industry (Cosmetics) to begin with.
Next, you’ll definitely need their title — in this case, Social Media Manager.
Now here’s the part where you’ll be able to separate top candidates from the rest: you can choose their previous or even current company. Of course, you can choose more than one, so let’s set their previous companies as Avon, L’Oreal, MAC, Sephora, or Shiseido.
As you know, top candidates don’t grow on trees, so chances are you won’t get too many on your first try. To broaden your search as you go along, keep adding companies. For now though, let’s go with the 19 candidates who fit our current filters.
Step 2: Place Them in a Campaign
With your list of candidates ready, open ZeroIn Chrome extension and add them to a campaign of your choosing. It can be an existing campaign or a completely new one.
Right now we only have two pages of search results, but if you’re not looking for quite such a high-ranking level of candidate, chances are you’ll have more of those. Regardless of how many you have, though, ZeroIn has you covered! You can get as many as 10 pages of search results in one go, and if you need more, simply start the process again from page 11.
Once your candidates have successfully been added to the campaign, you’ll be able to see a confirmation of this next to their names.
When you’re satisfied with the candidates you’ve found, it’s time to go to the ZeroIn user portal.
Step 3: Find Out More About Them — And Get Their Emails!
Once you’re in the campaign, you’ll be able to see which city they’re in, any company info you may find useful, and 20+ other pieces of information. And up to this point, you still haven’t spent a single credit!
If you decide some of them aren’t right for the job role, for whatever reason, or that they’d actually be a better fit for another position, you can easily move or copy them to other campaigns. You can also choose to delete them, although we wouldn’t advise that — you never know when you might need them, and they are top candidates, after all!
When you’ve decided you definitely want to contact them, all you need to do is select them all and then, under Selected, go to “Add to email find queue.”. Voilà! All you need to do now is sit tight, wait for their emails to pop up, and start working on your pitch.
In just a couple of minutes, you have two pages of top candidates ready to be contacted. If you like what you see, take a look at our pricing plans and never have trouble finding suitable candidates again!
